Chris Ferguson
Chris Ferguson is one of the most entertaining characters in the lineup of poker players. He looks like Jesus, dresses like Clooney and is more talented than your average American Idol finalist. Just like other poker players, Chris started playing cards at a young age. In fourth grade, he lost his lunch money to a flush (he only had trip Queens) and it was this day that marks the most significant turning point in this poker player’s career: he swore to himself that he would
never run out of money again. True to his word, he never went broke again, winning game after game in high school and throughout college. Christ spent a crazy 31 years of his life in UCLA – eighteen years of undergraduate studies and thirteen years of trying to obtain a graduate degree. Nobody knows why he stayed in school for so long, but it may have been all the poker tournamets that he held during his college years. Chris was a natural winner in poker games. It didn’t matter if he was playing over an IRC channel, in the big-time land casinos of Vegas, or with a small group of friends in a dorm room – Chris played to win, and win he did.
Currently a holder of five Worls Series of Poker bracelets – two in 2000, one in 2001 and two more in the year 2003, for a myriad of events ranging from Seven Card Stud to Omaha Hi-Lo tournaments. Chris claims that he rarely plays for money nowadays, but rather he plays to win – like a true poker player. He is now a teacher at the Full Tilt Poker Academy, helping hundreds of poker players learn the skill required to win in poker. Of course, he is also an active player who is feared by poker players around the world.
