Erick Lindgren
Erick Lindgren has always been a very competitive individual. His achievements in the world of sports may serve as proof. He was a star athele in high school, having won the Most Valuable Player award in basketball while maintaining his position as the quarterback of his school football team. After a while though, the only arena housing his competitive spirit is the casino, where the tables of Vegas test his thirst for winning. Erick developed a love for poker that pushed him to drop out of college and start a career as a casino dealer before playing poker professionally. It’s a good thing that he made this decision, because poker gave him the ticket to being a millionaire. Erick had his first victorious tournament at the world famous Bellagio in 2002, and his first victorious major event from the World Poker Tour in Aruba. He was instantly $500,000 richer, just like that. Since luck comes in threes, his third victorious major tournament came not long after, in the form of Party Poker’s WPT Million III cruise. This gave him a million dollars in a matter of weeks and with barely any effort at all – talk about hitting the jackpot!
His winning streak did not stop there. In 2005, he was able to finish among the top players during the WSOP Circuit over at Atlantic City, and also the WPT Poker Classic. He scored another tournament victory during the Professional Poker Tour tournament in Los Angeles. In 2006, he got the third spot during the World Poker Tour Winter Poker Open at Borgata. He was also the champion of a poker tournament sponsored by one of the largest online poker websites during the same year. Erick has written a book about winning in poker and currently works as a FullTilt Poker Team member, playing with fellow world champions and working with them to create better poker players all over the world.
